On 4th April 2011 Redhall Group plc brought together its nuclear operations to form one single business. The launch of Redhall Nuclear signal’s the amalgamation of Steels Engineering, Jordan Nuclear and Chieftain Insulation (Barrow), employing 400 staff based across the UK, working from offices in Sellafield, Aldermaston, Barrow in Furness and Teesside.
Helen Simms, Managing Director of Redhall Nuclear, commented on the merger of the three companies: “The bringing together of these businesses allows us to build on our enviable track record of successfully and safely delivering a diverse range of engineering disciplines within the challenging environments of the nuclear industry. This strategic step in our growth will enable us to provide a greater depth and breadth to our existing customers, whilst ensuring we develop best practice across the business. It also provides us with the financial strength and capability to take on larger projects.”
Redhall Nuclear can provide complete turn-key project solutions, from in-house design, through engineering and manufacturing expertise, to project and site management. The new company will be able to build on its long term presence at key UK nuclear sites, capitalising on its proven track record of successfully delivering projects in construction and decommissioning, asset care and power generation.
Redhall Nuclear is organised into four divisions: Nuclear Growth Areas (including fuels), Power Generation and New Build, Defence, Decommissioning and Waste Management. This organisational structure provides the platform for greater focus on individual client requirements.
